This is such a beautiful and quiet hotel, with an excellent location, knd front desk staff, fine breakfast and poor wifi, unfortunately. The rooms and views are both beautiful. This is what most hotels would like to be.Reviewed 17th October 2016
“Great Location,Great breakfest”
Nice Hotel close to everything. Comfortable room, a delicious breakfast and great location, allowing access to the main sites by foot. And good safe in case of earthquake – I say this from own experience, unfortunately. Assisi is a beautiful city and worth a visit, definitively. If, like me, you’re Catholic, it is most exciting. I highly recommend.Reviewed 19th September 2016
I was looking for a place to stay in Assisi that was accessible by car without the hassle of dealing with Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL) Hotel Porta Nuova was about 100 yards outside of the zone so I booked it based primarily on its location…Reviewed 27th November 2016
It was a very lovely and modern hotel. Our room was recently renovated so it had a modern shower and bathroom. The room was a bit small but it was more than adequate for our needs and it was exceptionally clean…The eastern gate to the old city is about a three minute walk from the hotel to the gate…
I was also surprised at how nice the breakfast was the following day. They had a great spread of meats, cheeses, breads, croissants, cereals, cakes, and juices, plus a machine that made everything from coffee to espresso to cappuccinos to hot chocolate.
It has the best qualities of a small hotel and a large bed and breakfast. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying there if you are going to Assisi.
